On Sunday, June 9, 2013 the Feast of St. Barnabas (Transferred), the congregation dedicated and blessed the completion of our two-year wetlands restoration and community trail project, made possible by partnership with and a generous grant from the California Department of Fish & Wildlife. Spearheaded by local ecological contractor Tom Hesseldenz, the project returned approximately seven acres of degraded agricultural land owned by the church to pristine wetlands condition. A trail around the border of the wetlands, open to the public, now provides numerous views both of Mt. Shasta and the wetlands area itself. Pictured at the dedication are Hap Millar (acolyte), Kathy Wallace (diaconal candidate), the Rev. Larry Holben (priest-in-charge), and the Rev. Canon Britt Olson (Canon to the Ordinary), who blessed and dedicated the project on behalf of the congregation and the Rt. Rev. Barry Beisner, Bishop of Northern California.
